The directory of kernel headers (version 2.4.31-0vl1.12) does not match your
running kernel (version 2.4.31-0vl1.8). Even if the module were to compile
successfully, it would not load into the running kernel.
カーネルヘッダが現在のカーネルと一致していない。
とりあえず、カーネルのアップデートをする。
カーネルをvl1.12にすると、うまくvmware-config.plが完了。
